Mornington Peninsula Accommodation

Accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula - for events at Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club, Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron, McCrae Yacht Club, Somers Yacht Club, Mornington Yacht Club, Safety Beach Sailing Club

A range of three different accommodation options are offered to competitors, team leaders, coaches and country representatives, allowing teams to choose which option best suits their needs and budgets. Pre and post event accommodation will be available with each option.

Option 1: Homestay accommodation - Applications closed Monday 3 December

For competitors and their support teams to be billeted to stay with local residents in their homes in very close proximity to the host club. Capitalising on the hospitality of local residents, this would allow teams to learn a little more about the local area and Australian way of life and would see approximately 1 - 6 people accommodated in each home as a mix of competitors and supporters.

Mornington Peninsula Shire manages camping at the Rye and Sorrento foreshores.

Foreshore camping at Rye and Sorrento is available from November to April, camping outside these times is not permitted.

The foreshore camping grounds offer both powered and non powered sites, for both caravans and tents.

The foreshore booking office is open from September 15 to April 30 each year and bookings can be made by contacting the foreshore ranger on +61 3 5985 2405 for an application form during this time.
